CES Booth #20425 South Hall 1. January 5, 2006
Norcent Technology, Inc., a marketer of high-quality home entertainment products, will introduce a new collection
of LCD and Plasma HD televisions at the 2006 International CES. Designed by a renowned international design firm
specifically for Norcent, the series, named VION (pronounced Veé-ohn), offers high end design, video, and audio quality.
The series initially will include three LCD and one plasma HDTV set. Models will be on display in NorcentŐs CES booth.
"Our VION series significantly raises the quality bar in LCD and plasma televisions, with their ground breaking design
and performance," stated Jennifer Long, Norcent CEO. "We have gone to great lengths to ensure that everything about these
sets - from the striking design to the highest quality components - will meet the requirements of the discriminating consumer."
The 16:9 LCD models include the LT-2090 (20"), LT-2790 (27"), LT-3290 (32") and come in black and pearl white. Selected
models feature built-in NTSC and ATSC tuners; high contrast ratios of 1000:1; Digital 3D comb filters; a brightness level of
at least 500 Cd/m²; and 3:2 pulldown technology. Composite, Component, S-video, and PC inputs add to their versatility and
multi-media functionality. The 27" and 32" models also include at least one HDMI digital video input. 37" and 42" models will
arrive in early summer.
Audio is beefed up with both SRS sound enhancement and BBE High Definition Sound (not included on LT-2090) technology. Other
features found on the LCD models include wall mounting capability; V-Chip technology; sleep timer; and three on-screen menu
languages. MSRP range from $649.99 to 1,299.99.
The two widescreen plasma HDTV models are excellent choices to use either as a foundation from which to build an exciting
home theater system or as a stand-alone set. They include the PT-4291HD (42") and the PT-5091HD (50"). Both feature stunning design,
extraordinarily high 10,000:1 contrast ratio; at least 1100 Cd/m² brightness; and Digital 3D comb filters. Both have NTSC and ATSC
tuners built in with closed caption, and V-chip technology. PIP allows viewers to keep an eye on multiple channels.
Two each composite, component, and S-video inputs, as well as HDMI, PC, and RS232 connectivity add to their versatility and
multi-media functionality. SRS and BBE technologies enhance the audio performance of both models. The 42" plasma has a MSRP of $2,399.99.
The MSRP of the 50" has yet to be announced.
